More Trouble in the Middle East

You know it is amazing that when the Middle East culture is called out on being violent and destructive and hateful, it always reacts the same with cries of 'death to the west' and riots. And its accepted.

What if Christians started doing acts of violence in American? What would happen?

Hmm, well since it has in the past, I site Eric Roudoplh and the other abortion bomber types. How did we respond? First off, those people had very little public support and when they were caught there was a collective sigh of relief from the nation. Granted we have a few lunatic, frindge nut jobs (Pat Robertson and the like), but only a minority listen and even less act out what they say.

But in the Middle East we have the leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for the destruction of Iseral and the West several times. We have people wanting 'to chop at the neck' of the pope (who I will admit looks like Darth Sidus). Honestly when people say this kind of hate, 'The group said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the pope as "the worshipper of the cross" saying "you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. ... We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose head tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion (to Islam) or (killed by) the sword."

I ask you how are we supposed to respond?

Talking and placation does not work. Hitler taught us that. Its amazing. It has only been roughly 60 years since our grandparnets faught to end this kind of mindset in Europe and we are letting it live and thrive in the Middle East. I do not know what must be done. I pray that there was peacefuly end, but the magic eight ball would have to say 'outlook not good.'
